Information about the Conference

Location

COMPSAFE 2020 will take place at the Kobe International Conference Center, Kobe, Japan.

Registration Desk

Registration Desk is at the entrance hall, located on the 3rd floor of the Kobe convention center.

Registration hours are,
Sunday, March 8th: 17:00~20:00
Monday, March 9th and Tuesday, March 10th: 8:00~17:00
Wednesday, March 11th: 8:00~15:00

Registration Fees

IACM member: 50,000 yen (Late registration: 60,000 yen)
Non-IACM member: 55,000 yen (Late registration: 65,000 yen)
Student: 25,000 yen (Late registration: 30,000 yen)

Above registration fees include a book of program, CD-ROM of extended abstracts, excursion, coffee breaks, reception and banquet.

Accompanying person: 12,000 yen (for either Reception/Excursion/Banquet)

Audiovisual Services

Each room will be equipped with LCD projector with VGA connector, and computers for presentation will not be provided. We recommend to check the compatibility of your laptop and projector provided before your presentation.

Presentation Time

Plenary Lecture:  50 minutes
Semi-Plenary Lecture: 40 minutes
Keynote Presentation: 30 minutes
Regular Presentation: 20 minutes

Internet Access

Wireless internet will be provided in the conference site.

Coffee Break

Coffee will be served during the breaks at the lounge and reception hall located on the 3rd floor next to the entrance hall.

Special Events

Excursion

Sunday, March 8, 2020

The excursion starts in the morning of March 8th. We will first visit the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution, located 15min. from the conference site by bus, to learn and experience the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake occurred in January 17th, 1995. In the afternoon, we will cross the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge, the world longest suspension bridge with its length of 3, 911m, and visit Awaji Island. In the island, we will have a field-trip at Hokudan Earthquake Memorial Park and visit Nojima Fault Preservation Museum. The tour buses will come back to the conference site by the evening before the welcome reception.
